My nose gets REALLY oily as the day goes on. I have very light acne, but i want to get rid of this oily business so i dont get any breakouts on my nose and stuff.

Anyone have any ideas on how to stop my skin from being so oily?

I am 22 years old. I need a facial moisturizer which is good for oily skin, since I have oily face especially on the T zone. I tried using Olay but my face is still oily. I also wear make up almost everyday, if that helps.

I’ve tried everything, over the counter, to prescription I don’t know what else to do.
I have redness and white heads all over my cheeks, forehead, and REALLY bad under my chin and neck. My skin is very oily and i constantly have to use those oil pads.

I’m 18 years old and its very embarrassing and hard to deal with.
Is there anything out there i can try that may work or worked for you?
Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

I would suggest accutane. It WILL change your life, it is what people turn to when there are no other answers, I would suggest googling it so you can learn both the pros and cons.

I have tried so many face washes and they either make my skin super dry without taking the pimples away, or make my skin even more oilier. I’ve used Dove, Rough exfolients, clearesall and so many more, but nothing works! I can’t afford stuff like proactiv, i also use Nude by nature mineral foundation, and take zinc tablets. If you could just recommend something for me, at this point im desperate..

Have you tried Clean & Clear? That’s what works best for me. Maybe it’s best you don’t use a face wash. Maybe your face is only reacting to all the cleansers. What’s the longest you’ve gone without using a cleanser?

Try a zinc supplement between 25-50mg per day. What do you currently take? I take 50mg and notice results within a few hours.

How are your eating habits? Record what you eat and see what vitamins you require more of.

I have very oily skin. The only things I use on my face in the morning are: A very little foundation, concealer, powder, and a small amount of blush. Throughout the day at school, I have to go into the bathroom and blot my face! I hate it so much. A bunch of my friends have perfect non oily skin! Anyway, do you guys know of anything I can use/buy that can cure my oily skin??
ALSO, I have oil blotting sheets but I cant use them at school…

try the neutrogena skin ID thing.go to their website and take the test.it picks out perfect cleansers for you amongst other things.i had the same problem as you,but now my face is oil free!!good luck!!

If you dont drink a lot of water, you should! Also, if you go to an aesthetician or salon/spa, ask them if they do acne facials. Facials do help for this and I know that at first, you will notice the acne to be more prominent, however, it is doing what its supposed to be doing. during a facial you will receive a facial massage which is done in the direction of the pores in your skin. This massage works any excessive oils(sebum) out to the surface of your skin. which is what you want. The more you get it done, the better the outcome of your skin. It doesnt do it for everyone but it does help. Also, when washing your face, massage your face in a downward motion, this is the way our pores are, so as you gently wash and massage your face downward, it also helps work any extra sebum to the surface. You can also make a tea mask. Bananas are also good for drying the skin. Look up natural food masks for oily skin. You should be able to come up with a lot of ideas

I wouldn’t use Proactive, because it has views like ; if you use it you’ll get more pimples if you stop using it all of a sudden. Since I have sensitive skin and can’t use proactive anyway, I clean with dove soap then apply on Neutrogena on-the-spot cream. It works well, try out some Neutrogena stuff :33

A good BHA product might help. Try Neutrogena Rapid clear gel. Blot with loose powder throughout the day. Don’t touch your skin much. You can also use benzoyl peroxide, which is really drying for most skins, but might be ok for you.

If it’s really bad, get a prescription for Accutane. That’ll dry you right up and is usually permanent.

1.Mix the lemon juice, egg whites, honey, mashed strawberries and jojoba together. Apply at once to your face and let the mixture set for 10 minutes or until it is dry. Rinse with warm water. This mask makes enough for two applications, so you can share it with a friend. It is not recommended to refrigerate this mask for later use. Use this mask several times a week for good results.
2.Apply plain yogurt to your oily skin daily as a cleanser or after cleansing, to dry up oily skin. After application, allow ithe yogurt to dry completely; then rinse it off with warm water. This is safe to use indefinitely.
3.Mix equal parts of tea tree oil and sea salt and apply the mixture sparingly to oily parts of your skin. Tea tree oil is commonly used to treat oily skin and blemishes. It contains antiseptic and antibacterial properties, according to girl.com.au. If you experience skin irritation, discontinue use. Look for tea tree oil in most health food stores.

Find one that is oil free. I think there is one by neutrogena that is oil free but not sure. I have seen it at Wal-Mart. But I’m sure it will be at any drugstore or other store chain. Also try Zinc-Oxide. I can’t think of the name but it comes in a small round container like maybe as wide as a soda can but only 2 inches tall. That might work for you as well if you haven’t already tried it:)

I have very oily skin, especially on ym face and it is immnesely annoying. I literally have to rub my faces, particulary my nose with a tissue every five minutes to have it look controlled. Is there any food to eat that could help decrease the oil?

What are some good creams to help prevent it?
I have alot of acne and blackheads as well, any advice/suggestion for that too?

I need some moderate to severe acne remedies for OILY skin.
I used to take acutane and it cleared me up but my mom took me off of it and now I’m on a new drug that makes my severe acne moderate. Well she says she’s not going to get a new bottle (I have like 6 pills left) so I really need an idea to help clear up my skin?
Oh and it’s hereditary acne, so there isn’t too much I can really do :/

Hmmm. I have genetic acne too, which mine I’m sure is also connected with hormones.
I myself am trying the regimen on acne.org
You should definitely look into it, it has a lot of positive reviews.

I know how it feels to feel like it’s never going to end. I’m a proactiv failure, diet changes don’t do anything, drinking water isn’t going to get rid of your acne… It’s all myths.

I really wish you the best of luck… Seriously look into the regimen and give it time!

I use nothing but Cover girl and Maybelle makeup. Coming from your experiences which products are best for oily skin. I get really oily around my nose and under my nose like next to my cupids bow, but my cheeks and forhead dont get oily. Only around my nose and on my chin. I use less foundation sometimes and dust loose cover girl powder but the new Maybelle foundation sucks its too oily. What should I use now?

I have really oily skin and I’ve tried every foundation in the drug store. Nothing helped. Then I went to Sephora and bought Laura Mercier Mineral Powder and Laura Mercier Concealer and both have been worth it. It covers the imperfections well, have a matte finish and absorb the oil, and even match my skin tone, which I’ve always had trouble with. Of course, it’s pricey about $ 25 each, but it was well worth it.

My skin as always been difficult to treat and products usually do not work on me. My nose is filled with blackheads and none of the treatments I have used worked. My pores on my nose are also big. My skin is real oily and nothing really calms it down. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Go to the dermatologist and get a prescription for Tazorac cream (that is if you have already tried good ole’ benzoyl peroxide on your face).
