If you dont drink a lot of water, you should! Also, if you go to an aesthetician or salon/spa, ask them if they do acne facials. Facials do help for this and I know that at first, you will notice the acne to be more prominent, however, it is doing what its supposed to be doing. during a facial you will receive a facial massage which is done in the direction of the pores in your skin. This massage works any excessive oils(sebum) out to the surface of your skin. which is what you want. The more you get it done, the better the outcome of your skin. It doesnt do it for everyone but it does help. Also, when washing your face, massage your face in a downward motion, this is the way our pores are, so as you gently wash and massage your face downward, it also helps work any extra sebum to the surface. You can also make a tea mask. Bananas are also good for drying the skin. Look up natural food masks for oily skin. You should be able to come up with a lot of ideas

  1. Firstly I think you should understand the principle mechanism of oily skin so you can think along the right line.

Oily skin is due to excessive dihydrotestesterone (DHT) effect, causing excessive sebum production. Oily skin is more common usually before periods, because of lower estrogen levels and higher progesterone levels. Progesterone is a precursor of DHT. Estrogen, meanwhile, helps in keeping a nice, moist skin. This explains why females generally have better skin tones than males.

Since your efforts are all not working, I would recommend that you see a dermatologist. He/she is in the best position to advice you on the right products, the ones that suited you while at the same time you could be getting some good prescription for your problem.

Anyway here’s a link I found that hopefully answers your question:

  2. I had an acne/pimple outbreak. When I first started my acne treatment w jus cleanser, toner and acne cream, my skin became better and it has leSser almost to no pimples or acne at all. But it causes my lower cheek area ard my mouth to dry up. So my doctor recommend me an oil-free moisturiser which I use and now I have this acne under the skin. Help !! I do not want history to repeat itself
