My skin is allways oily. I wipe it all off few times a day and it just instantly comes back? Any way besides seeing a doctor to get this to stop? πŸ˜€ thx

A Dozen Tips For Oily Skin Care

You must stop your skin pores from being clogged. For this purpose you should do skin cleansing with plenty of hot water and soap.
Do not use harsh products because they can strip your skin of oil and encourage flakiness.
Do not use skincare products which leave your skin feeling stretched tight and dehydrated.
Do use oil-free moisturizers to lessen the oil shine on your complexion.
Wash your face two to three times a day.
Do not use heaving cleansers or harsh soaps. A combination of an antibacterial cleansing lotion or a lightly medicated soap with water rich in minerals can be very effective.
When cleansing, massage your face well with your fingertips, using an upward and outward motion. Be careful not to rub soap into the skin; it can clog pores.
If your oily skin is flaking then use a deep-cleaning exfoliant on alternate nights.
If you oily skin is sensitive then use white or rose-colored clays.
Use a light antiseptic night cream.
Choose cosmetic and facial care products that suit to your oily skin.
Before applying makeup, use an antiseptic day cream with active ingredients.

You need to try and balance your oily skin..It is partly hormones and this stage will slowly pass..I recommend using a mild cleanser like Purpose soap(2 dollars) and Witch Hazel(2 dollars) as an astringent.It won’t strip your skin and cause the “rebound action” of the skin getting even oilier..You can also get Oil blotting papers(about 3 dollars) to soak and blot the excess oil until you get your skin balanced..

I don’t really want any medicated stuff in it, for example the Clean & Clear Oil Free Dual Action Moisturizer has salicylic acid in it. And I don’t want those medicated stuff. I also prefer a Drug store moisturizer.
Um it would be really helpful if yu could recommend me a moisturizer that make me shiny so fast. x-x

it’s best to wash ur face often and sometimes wipe ur face with warm watered towel…
eat a lot of water and fruits
it really helps and u will see less oils on ur face after a week

….. really i don’t prefer any acne&oil medicines

No, I’ve not scene any evidence that sun block containing tinting agents are more harmful than plain sunblock.

I’ve always had some pretty oily skin. The extra oil makes for some uncomfortable frequent breakouts during Summer. During Fall and Winter my skin is relatively calm and nice, but the Summer is wreaking havoc on it! I work in a humid hot climate (warehouse).

Anyone have any advice on how to treat oily skin in Summer?

I have extremely oily skin too.. I’m italian! I used a LOT Of things and I found some stuff that actually keeps my skin cleared up… Clinique Level 4 cleanser for Oily skin and their Astringent stuff (its blue colored) its GREAT!! (I didnt bother buying the lotion/moisturizer) because no matter what they claim I dont use moisturizer, my skin is too oily, it more than moisturizes itself, especially in the summer! I can’t keep it dry enough!

I only bought the cleanser and the astrigent looking stuff (step 1 & step 2) from the dept store local to me. it is AWESOME. (they can give you samples of it too, thats how I originally tried it.) They have stuff for Acne as well, but the Step 4 should work wonders for oily skin too!!

TRY IT — I tried TONS of stuff, all the stuff in drugs stores, NONE of it worked for my skin. It was just really oily. Clinique for oily skin cleared it right up! LOVE IT. Just go to your local Clinique counter at the Department store and tell them you heard about Clinque step 4 for oily skin from a girl friend and you would love to have a sample of it to try.

Whatever you do, do not wash your face more than 2x per day (preferably when you wake up and before bed). What happens is that your body compensates for the loss of oil by making more oil. To deal with excess oil the rest of the time, use blotting paper. I learned from a makeup artist that those toilet seat covers (at all public restrooms) are the same thing as those expensive packs of blotting tissues. And inexpensive! In addition, there are mattifying creams that might help out with keeping the shine at bay (I’m not familiar with the available brands). I hope this helps!

I also have many blackheads on my nose, which I have been trying to get rid of, and the oil seems to make them more visible. I have extremely oily skin and I use an array of products based on how oily and dirty my face is. I am a HUGE fan of Aveeno and love their entire line of products (with green caps) for oily skinned individuals. I have the foaming cleanser which is awesome in the mornings. The small granulated one for scrubbing out dirt. The cream one for “relaxing” my face. Try out different products and brands to see what suits you best. Some people like Neutrogena and Biore but neither of those worked really well for me. What works for me and others might not work for you – everyone’s skin (though oily) is still different.
