Are there products for guys with shiny oily face?

Question by jonny sin72: Are there products for guys with shiny oily face?
I am in my thirties and within the last 2 years i’ve noticed that my face has gotten very shiny and oily. When I shave I can tell the part of my face that was shaved and it looks dry, while the rest of my face looks shiny and oily. Are there any products out there for men with oily shiny skin?

Yes, there are face washes for men. You can find them in the skin care section of a supermarket or drugstore

  1. I Use Oxy Face Pads 3 Time A Day And Boy It Does The Trick—-

  2. If you notice your skin gets dry where you shave and oily around where you don’t, you need to start applying moisturizer to your entire face after you wash in the a.m. and p.m. (and throughout the day if you experience dryness). Without using moisturizer, you dry skin tries to compensate by creating more oil to naturally moisturize itself, thus, creating the shinny and oily appearance you speak of. Like the guy suggested above, use oxy pads throughout the day to reduce shine-oilyness, but use an oil-free moisturizer (cetaphil, clean n’ clear, neutrogena…etc. Oil-Free moisturizers will have the term “non-comodegenic” on the back of the bottle… meaning, it contains no oil, and will not clog-pores. MAKE SURE YOUR MOISTURIZER SAYS THAT, or it could cause adult-acne or more oil production. Lastly, being a 21 y/o myself and having dealt with acne, shiney skin, and over active oil glands most of my adolescent and early adult life, I have found some products that truly work wonders for me in regards to reducing oil. First, try using an exfoliating fash-wash (I use Clean N’ Clear BlackHead Clearing scrub), at least 2x a day, to remove the deadskin and oil on your face. Next, go out and buy a “mattifier”. It’s a type of face lotion that you apply immediately after washing your fash and before moisturizing. It abosrbs into the skin and helps reduce oil production throughout the day.(THIS IS WHAT WORKS BEST FOR ME!) (Go buy some MAC, Lancome, Keihl’s mattifier) and apply it immediately after washing and before moisturizing. After the “mattifier” absorbs into your skin, apply a small amount of oil-free moisturizer ( cetaphil moisturizer, Clean N’ Clear oil-free moisturizer, neutrogena…etc) Those should all help throughout the day with your over-productive oil glands.
If all else fails, try using steam (steamroom, shower, etc.) as often as possible to make you sweat and force out any pore-cloging debris/bacteria that could be on/in your skin causing it to be so over-productive.
