okay so i’m going to be going to india as a trip and it will be for a week straight, we will be having a WHOLE load of sun exposure, hiking, growing plants, beach, any sun sport you can think of, Now, I honestly do NOT want to get ANY darker! because I look horrible with tanned skin, I can only stay fair and white, The thing is, on normal regular basis, I use SPF 35, Just you know, for school, hang outs, etc. and around 3 months ago when I went to Langkawi ( which is in malaysia ) I wore SPF 50, When I came home I got a lot darker, and I got a tan, and I honestly looked horrible, I prefer having white, fair skin, this doesn’t mean I want to block every single UV rays, which is impossible, I do want some UV In my skin, just not too much. since SPF 50 didn’t work out for me, I was planning on SPF 70, The ” Neutrogena Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 70″ I’m not sure if it’s good, if you guys have tried it, please tell me how you feel about it, but I’m just worried that SPF 70 Will clog my pores and break out and harm my skin.
* I do not have oily skin, even when it’s around like 40 degrees i will be around combination. no oily at all.
* I am not acne prone skin
* My skin type is NORMAL.

I learned in healthy class that SPF 15 is the same as a higher SPF but the higher ones have more chemicals. I hope i helpeed! 🙂

Try not to tan too much unless you have too! I believe the higher the number on the bottle that you plan to buy indicates the level of protection (like Copper Tone 20 as an imaginary example). Don’t forget the odd UVC ray that sometimes gets through too (the atmosphere protects us from most of these but some of them can slip through too). Also remember that there is a strong correlation between skin cancer and tanning to and too much tanning may give you wrinkles at a younger age than you may desire. I have done some tanning in my past and have also had some very bad sun burns too without any kind of sunblock whatsoever! I’m also interested in science involving the UV spectrum physics and that’s where my knowledge comes from in regards to UV radiation.

People having softer skin can put steam on their face and try to remove the dead skin with the help of a loofah. Corn starch with vinegar is also a good remedy to treat the oily skin. This face mask is kept on the area for 15-30 minutes and removed after certain period.
To maintain the right kind of skins it is always better to go with a proper moisturizer and quality cleansing agents. Good food and a good environment ensure a good and fit health.
Water needs to be splashed daily and enough water also should be absorbed by the body. Pure or cooked oatmeal can make the oil content lessen making a greater impact on the skin. Every week our skin sheds a layer of dead cells. Repeated accumulation of these dead cells makes your skin dull. It obstructs the flow of blood into the skin. As a result skin looks lifeless and oily. Cucumber can also make your skin glow at a shorter span of time.
Proper care of oily skin is the remedy if you are thinking of getting rid of the oily skin. Natural home remedies can also serve the purpose but thorough practice of the natural home cares are needed at the regular intervals. Even though your skin is oily it must be moisturized. Choose a lotion without natural oils such as luberderm. Also, do not wash your face too much or too hard. This just makes your skin produce more oils to make up for the removing of too many cell layers. Powdered make up is much better than cream or oilly make ups. Vitamins may also help such as Vitamin A, Zinc, Fiber, Chromium, Vitamin B6. Avoid dairy, sugar and high carb foods. Also, Proactiv really does work with dry, oilly, and acned up skin. Also, try some homemade facials such as apple, oatmeal, and yogurt for 10 – 15 minutes and rub in cirular motion off.

I have tried clean n clear,noxema,dove soap, neutrogena, and I still have not had any good results. I don’t have acne or any blemishes ..just oily skin. Any suggestions would be great!

Oily skin is not necessarily a bad thing – think about it – how many ads do you see about products for lubricating skin, getting rid of wrinkles, looking younger etc – it’s all about getting oil back into skin that’s been stripped of it.
Oily skin helps prevent lines and wrinkles, just keep it clean and learn to live with it. And don’t smoke – that’s definitely bad.
