I am 13 fyi. i have a little bit of acne, like 2-3 pimples, but my face gets really oily:( I have big pores on my nose and the area around my nose. After 3 hours, you can see the oil coming out of my pores( GROSS!)I just bought neutrogena pink grapefruit scrub, and it working OK, not anything spectacular. For good skin try these three products which are not expensive.

-Cetaphil cleanser for normal to oily skin.
-Neutrogena Clear Pore astringent (or any salicylic acid preparation)
-benzoyl peroxide 10% cream.

Here is the rationale behind them: Oil and bacteria are the main causes of acne. Hormones play a lesser role. You can do something about the oil and bacteria with treatments. Try to not get stressed out because that can cause hormonal fluctuations.

1. Cetaphil cleanser doesn’t over-dry your skin like a lot of acne soaps do. Over-drying makes the skin produce MORE oil, so acne gets worse in the long run. Cetaphil cleanser sets skin at the right PH

2. The astringent has salicylic acid in it and this can help by slightly drying and disinfecting problem areas.

3. A benzoyl peroxide cream is available over the counter in a prescription strength nowadays. A few companies make it. Apply a thin amount to breakouts with a q-tip. This keeps bacteria lower in both the tube and on the pimple.
