How to Choose the Right Face Wash for Men

Article by Lissa

Men’s skin differs a lot from that of women. Research shows that men who take care of their skin have healthier skin than those who do not. Similarly, different companies have started serving this need. The foremost thing to take care of your derma is to choose men’s face wash. This will enable you to have clean and healthy skin free from pollutants, dirt, and excess oil.But before choosing a reliable men’s face wash, you should know which type of skin you have. Since there are five types of skin, your derma type will fall in one of those categories. Determining your skin type is very simple. Just wash your face before going to bed. When you wake up in the morning, your derma’s condition will reveal your skin type. For instance, you have oily derma if you feel oil on your face in the morning.

The following details about different types of skin will give a fair idea about your derma type:

Dry Skin

If your skin is dull, chapped, or flaked, it means that you have dry derma. In addition, the skin may feel tightness and discomfort if you have not applied any moisturizer on your face after washing it. It is never good to wash your face with soap if you have dry derma. This is because soap can make your derma drier. Therefore, choose a face wash that contains mineral oils to nourish your skin.

Oily Skin

If you have acne, blemishes, spots, and blackheads on your face, and it feels shiny and greasy all the day, it means that you have oily skin. A positive point about having oily derma is that it does not get affected by the weather or harsh chemicals. But still, using an oil-free face wash is extremely important so that you can get rid of those blackheads and pimples.

Normal Skin

You are at ease if you have normal derma because it feels smooth and free from acne. But in order to maintain its glow, buy an effective face wash among men’s skin products for normal derma. You will find different brands. Pick the most popular one.

Combination Skin

This type of skin is the mixture of dry and oily derma. If your T-zone i.e. forehead, nose, and chin are shiny and greasy, and your eye area and cheeks are dry, it means that you have combination skin. You can choose a face wash accordingly.

Sensitive Skin

If your derma feels tight, itchy, and dry, then you have sensitive skin. This type of skin gets severely affected by weather and sunlight. So, buy a face wash among men’s derma products which works best for sensitive skin.

How to Get Rid of Oily Face

Article by Baron Austin

First thing that you should consider is start cleansing and exfoliating the skin regularly. Women’s skin is more prone to accumulate dead skin cells and that leads to dull skin. Therefore, use a natural exfoliation mask and day/night cleansing mask to get rid of dead skin cells, and open up the pores of the skin.

Harmful products – Not many people realize that using a harmful product can actually push them backwards and harm not only the skin but also various systems of the body. For instance, Mineral oil is one of the regularly used ingredients in cosmetic products. People think that it helps them to moisturize the skin, in reality, however, the molecules of Mineral Oil are so large that they clog the skin pores, leading to an oilier skin that attracts more dirt and grime.

CynergyTK-This wonder ingredient is derived from wool of sheep. It is a rich source of amino acids, peptides, vitamins, and minerals. It nourishes the skin cells and rejuvenates them effectively. It also assists in producing new healthier skin cells and boosts the natural production of collagen within the skin.

Commonly this will be mineral oil, as mineral oil is extremely cheap. This can exacerbate the problem. Mineral oil is often included in moisturisers because it is a cheap way to produce a moisturising effect. It coats the skin which helps decrease the loss of moisture, but also contributes to skin oiliness as well as to acne.

Clearly, the artificial products are the biggest enemies of your skin. You must develop skill to identify the wrong ingredients and avoid products, which use them. Information is knowledge and with knowledge comes wisdom, therefore, develop your knowledge about harmful ingredients and choose safe products wisely.

Fragrances – Nothing can be more dangerous than fragrances. They are a combination of harmful chemicals like Phthalates, Neurotoxins, and Irritants. They can cause damage to the endocrine system and reproductive system of the body.

Jojoba oil-The makeup of jojoba oil is very similar to that of human sebum (the oil secreted by your skin) which means it is absorbed and accepted well by your skin without breakouts or reaction. This unique oil moisturizes the skin to make it feel soft and velvet like while balancing out sebum levels to get rid of oily skin quickly and easily.

There are some products available that can stop the absorption of excess oil. They come in cream form as well as blotting sheets. These are good for when you are out and want to stop your face from shining, but they will not cure the underlying problem. Some of the better natural treatments for oily skin also include natural proteins, vitamins, enzymes and minerals with the goal of maintaining healthy cell function.

Extracted from natural sources, substances such as functional keratin, natural vitamin E, Co Enzyme Q 10, Japanese sea algae and active Manuka honey work to achieve a healthy balance by supporting the health of your underlying cellular structure.

What You Can Do To Minimize Excessive Oily Face Appearance

Article by Victoria Anderson

There isn’t anything worse than losing your war with oily skin shine before it’s time for lunch. Pretend that you are working and you run into a person who is very important to the course of your career. A few minutes after that you look in the mirror. What you see is so embarrassing you want to crawl into a hole. Has that ever happened to you? Probably the worst thing you can do is scrub the heck out of your face with the bathroom soap. The frustration with your current face, however, might make you do just that. The reason for that is washing your face to the point where it’s so dry is only setting the stage for oily face shine long before you go home. Overly dried out facial skin sends your oil glands the message that they have a fire that needs putting out. Then they switch to production overdrive to moisten your skin. This is an incredibly common scenario and we can help you fix it by using the tips in this article.

You can get rid of your oily skin shine problems even while wearing makeup! Match your skin type to the skin care products you buy. You also want to avoid oil based products: choose water based instead. Water is a natural astringent and doesn’t add to the problem of excessively oily skin. Another excellent tip depends on where you live. If you typically experience hot and humid weather–especially in the summers–cut down on your makeup use; you don’t need a lot of it. Looking good can be as easy as only using moisturizer and blush–as covered up as you think you need to be. Only use skin cleansers that are made for your particular skin type. Always avoid using harsh soaps or ‘industrial’ soaps containing a medicine cabinet full of chemicals. When you wash off your face, try to remember that it is not the same thing as scrubbing a floor or your clothes.

What we mean is that it isn’t necessary to scrub and scrub to remove the oil–even if part of you thinks that it is a good idea. That is a mistake because you will dry out and damage the outer skin layer. Your body will know that it has been damaged and guess how it will react? Your oil glands will jump into overdrive and produce as much oil as it can for your face.Using high quality moisturizers is a good idea for people with dry and with oily skin. Don’t forget that you need to choose one based on your skin type. If you have oily skin, then the moisturizer for your skin will be of a lighter quality.

You’re probably thinking “why do I need moisturizer if my face is already damp with oil?” That is not a paradox because you will be helping your skin to have enough moisture, which it needs, and that will cause your oil glands, or sebaceous glands, from being hyperactive. Getting rid of the oily sheen is a matter of taking action as soon as you start to notice it, like by using skin blotting products. Those kinds of actions are obviously just for immediate and temporary relief. A good (and objective) look at your whole skin care routine can also help you take care of the issue on a better and longer lasting basis.

Best Skin Care Solution For Oily Skin

Article by Mary Tanady

Who would want to have an oily skin that causes pimples or acne? Definitely no one, so let us identify first what causes oily skin. It is because of the over production of your sebaceous gland, which is responsible for producing an oily substance called sebum. We all know that too much of anything is bad, thus too much of sebum is not good too. It can clog our pores, leading to accumulation of dead skin cells resulting to pimples. Too much oil on your skin can definitely mess up your looks, so consider using skin care products that are good for oily skin.

When thinking of the best skin care solution for oily skin, consider those that have oil free content, preferably one with salicylic acid, which has been proven to minimize sebum production. You can try using a cleanser that is made specifically for oily skin, and use it at least twice a day. You may have to use it more often during hot or humid weather. Check the labels of the products you are buying to make sure that there are no harsh ingredients that may harm your skin in the long run.

Choosing the right oily skin care depends on the severity of your skin’s oiliness. If your skin is not that oily, products that are suitable for all skin types might work for you but if your skin is extremely oily, then you should use the “only for oily skin” skin care products.

The second step in your skin care is applying a toner. An alcohol based toner can help you lessen the oil but avoid using it too much for it can damage your skin. After applying the toner, you should put a mild moisturizer to prevent skin from drying. This may be optional depending on the extent of your skin’s oiliness. If ever you decide to use one, make sure that it is oil-free and water- based. You can also add to your skin care regimen the use of clay mask for at least once a week.

You should be patient though in trying different kinds of products until you find what is appropriate for you. If you don’t like trying, you can consult your dermatologist to find out what would be the best skin care product that will suit your skin type.

Oily Skin Treatments That Work

Article by Chee Wei Nen

Oily skin can lead to acne a skin condition most of us would want to avoid. So what oily skin treatment works best?

We want to control the oil produced by our skin but at the same time keep our skin hydrated and protected. It is relatively easy these days to find oil free cosmetic products. We cannot afford to put an oil based product on our skin – it is the equivalent of pouring oil on a flame.

Our hormones play a link in the way our oil production glands work. Your hormones are to blame when being a teenager brings you out in a load of zits. Pregnant women or those facing into the menopause can also suffer from oily skin caused by hormone imbalances. A lack of vitamin B can cause a hormonal imbalance. You can have your doctor check if you suspect this is a problem.

Clay masks work very well with oily skins and will help to reduce and remove any blackheads and pimples you may have. The clay is oil free and as it dries, it goes hard absorbing excess oil. It also seems to reduce the size of your skin pores. It can’t in reality but it looks like it does which is the desired effect.

You need to cleanse your skin daily but try to avoid over washing as this will only cause your skin to become irritated, red and flaky. It is also a good idea to exfoliate your skin using a product containing lactic or glycolic acid but not if you have any inflamed pustules as you will only spread the infection.

Lavender is one oily skin treatment that works very well and is 100% natural. Lavender has been used for centuries as an antiseptic making it ideal for dealing with pimples and other bacterial infections that are common with this skin type. If you make up your own lavender tonic at home be sure to use sterile containers and keep it in the fridge. Some people can react badly to lavender and all other natural products so it is best to do a patch test first.

A slice of tomato is great for getting rid of blackheads and brightening your skin. The fruit acids gently loosen the surface skin cells. Clean your skin with cotton wool and water after 15 minutes. You need to let your skin breath after this treatment so don’t apply moisturizer.

You also need to learn to relax as oily skin can be a sign of too much stress in your life. Find something you like to do to help you unwind such as a massage or facial. Yoga is also a wonderful stress buster.

A number of patients with oily skin tend to skip applying moisturiser. This is not recommended as your skin will become dry and patchy if you do not use an appropriate hydrating cream. Always use suitable products as oily skin treatments if you want to get the best results.

Get Face Packs for Oily Skin

Apply a light oil-free, matte foundation to your skin during the day, and when it gets oily, wipe your skin with tissue and reapply the foundation. Remember that certain compact powders may not suit you, so if you start getting a few pimples after using compact, try another brand. Also, remove the compact powder as soon as you reach home, and leave it on for as less time as possible. This will help reduce the chances of it irritating the skin. Applying compact powder is perhaps the best way of ensuring that your face looks oil free.

Oily skin could be due to heredity, hormone levels, diet, pregnancy, humidity, or due to the kind of cosmetics used. The excess oil secreted by the sebaceous glands is more during adolescence and decreases with age. But oily skin does not develop wrinkles or does not show signs of aging very early as in dry or normal skin types.

Article by taalib durden

Oily skin is real trouble and treating it is can really be a nightmare. All you ask for perfect oil free clear skin. One may have tried various products but unfortunately resulting into disappointment, sinking you deeper into frustration. If you are the one with oily skin, then it needs a special care and treatment as this type of skin is more prone to acne and pimples. Now you will have to cater to these needs to get the desired result.

What causes oily skin? Some may have born with it and some may experience the excessiveness during the adolescence. This period is most exasperating as this condition is predisposed to acne. For some may not get lucky & get it worse than others. Whether you have oily skin by birth or you got into the trouble in later stage, either way, you must have figured out that most of the skin disorders are caused due to hyperactivity of sebaceous glands.

Oil is produced by sebaceous glands and it is referred as sebum. Though, these glands are present all over body. Sometime, hyperactivity of sebaceous glands of face cause excessive oil secretion, flinging the every possibility of skin infection as mixture of oil and dirt may clog the pores thus instigating to various skin infections.

Nose is one body parts that is most affected by this excessive oil production. The pores on the nose need larger pores to disperse the sebum to the nose and the rest of the face. The nose is the place where an excess of oil can easily be produced, and then that oil can build up. A build up of oil can easily cause problems with acne, in addition to the more common ‘blackheads’.

Adolescence

Adolescence not just characterized by secondary sexually characters, but hormonal changes that trigger sebaceous glands for oil production. Overactive sebaceous glands activity leads excessive oil production thus leading to acne and other skin infection.

Caring For Oily SkinBefore shelving and false belief about oil and dirt, one should be aware that these substances are not directly responsible for the dismay. They can, however, block pores thus allowing buildup of bacteria casing all the troubles. It is advisable to wash your face you face regularly with mild face wash or simply with normal water. Don’t use harsh soaps, as it makes your skin dry, even worse could lead to cracks on the skin making it more susceptible to skin infections. So it is always better to avoid hard soaps or scrubs. You will need to avoid grease, oil or gel based cosmetics products, as it may aggravate the situation. In the same fashion, lotion and moisturizers should also be avoided. Treating oily skin for acne is not as simple as it sounds and without any shadow of doubt, too much oil can block pores and worsen acne, but not enough can create problems of its own. Finding the right balance will help you to enjoy clear skin, even if it is somewhat oily.

Oily Skin Treatment For Beautiful Skin

Article by Arlen Arron

Experts say that the culprits responsible for your “shiny aura” are the sebum or oil-producing glands underneath your skin, which are also known as sebaceous glands. Normally, these oil glands produce the needed amount of moisture to protect your skin. But they can be triggered by the DHT hormone to produce unnecessary amounts of oil.

Oily skin is produced when the sebaceous glands are overactive and start producing excess oil. This causes the skin to take on a shiny parents and enlarges the pores. This can occur from many reasons and are products of such factors as heredity, diet, hormone levels, certain cosmetics, excessive exposure to humidity and heat, pregnancy and birth control pills.

Getting oily skin treatment would also mean staying away from those beauty products that strip your skin of oil and makes your skin flake. This can lead to a reaction known as Reactive Seborrhea, where the oil glands start to overcompensate and strain because of the loss of natural oils. Your skin is a delicate balance that you do not want to upset.

The fact is, some people are simply prone to oily skin. The tendency towards oily skin is considered genetic. It may also be due to hormones. Those wild hormones that run rampant during the teen years kick oil-producing glands into overdrive! Almost everyone’s skin is oily at this age.

Washing your face multiple times during the day is not the answer. This will paradoxically make your oil glands work harder and produce more oil. Using harsh soaps and cleansers will dry out your skin and make it flaky and prone to damage, so that is not the solution either.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that exists in eight different forms. Each form is active and useful in the body in its own way. Alpha Tocopheryl is the most active form of Vitamin E in humans, and is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants such as Vitamin E act to protect your cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging by products of the body’s metabolism and digestive system.

So, while you think that you’re doing your complexion a favor by using these, you’re actually making the problem even worse! That’s not to say that you should go out and find just any cleanser, though. A great choice for you would be a cleanser that contains amino fruit acid, along with a low pH. Never wash your face more than twice per day, as this will only serve to irritate the skin. Another oily skin myth is that you should avoid moisturizer.

Know that, getting pimples or black spots on your face or skin does not mean you are any less of a human but you have to ensure that you find the right skin treatments to make sure you do not suffer the fate of locking your self in the room all day like what other teenagers do, when they begin to experience such changes on their skin.

Besides all the problems, this skin has advantage of slower aging rate than other skin type. Oily skin needs special care than normal skins. Oily skin cleansing will require lot of tepid warm water and mild soap to keep the pores being clogged. It is better to avoid harsh skin care products that could make you feel comfortable for sometime but in long run it would cause flakiness.

These are the most common and effective ingredients one must look for in a moisturizing cream. Therefore, taking care of our skin needs tender, loving, care and patience. Also, in order to achieve the desired outcome, it is also helpful for one to consult a licensed dermatologist.

Having an oily complexion is something some people can’t really avoid. According to experts, your genetic make-up and hormones, two internal factors that are hard or can never be really controlled when dealing with acne, are the main culprits. If your mom has a very shiny nose, you will probably end up with the same skin type.

Oily skin is a persistent cause of botheration among many people. Moreover, with the unhealthy practices in our lifestyle and the toxic environment people are becoming more and more subject to everyday, the problem is only to increase. That is why, we need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, coupled with regular exercise and healthy dietary habits in order to overcome oil build up in our skin and to restore the shimmer in our personality.

Acne Treatment For Oily Skin

Article by George Cleanthous

Treating oily skin can be a nightmare. All you want is the perfectly clear skin that so many people take for granted, but for some reason your skin is always oily. You may even have tried products that others have used and had disappointing results. Your skin may have special needs, and you will have to cater to these needs to get the results you want. What Causes Oily Skin? Some people are just born with oily skin. Others experience an increase in the oiliness of their skin when they reach adolescence. This period of life is known for its predisposition to acne, but some get it worse than others. Some individuals may have had oily skin before adolescence made their skin condition worse but, either way, you have probably figured out by now that if you have oily skin then you are more likely to have problems related to acne. The ‘oil’ on the skin is produced by the sebaceous glands, and this oil is referred to as sebum. It is important to note, as some of you will already know, that you do not just have these glands in your face. They are also present in your neck, chest, back, legs, arms, and other bodily regions, but the glands in some areas of skin are more active than others. One of the body parts that is most affected by this oil production is the nose. The pores that exist on the nose are larger and they help to disperse the sebum to the nose and the rest of the face. The nose is the place where an excess of oil can easily be produced, and then that oil can build up. A build up of oil can easily cause problems with acne, in addition to the more common ‘blackheads’.AdolescenceDuring adolescence this problem can get worse. Adolescence is the period when the number of androgens, or sex hormones, increase in the body. This increase then triggers the sebaceous glands to increase oil production, which, in turn, leads to the well-known prevalence of acne and other inflammations.Caring For Oily SkinIn truth, dirt and oil do not directly cause acne. They can, however, block pores and allow for the build up of bacteria, which can adversely affect the skin. Ideally, you should wash your skin twice daily to clear away excess oil. A simple cream wash can do this for you, but you need to find one that will not dry out your skin too much, and if you can find a good scrub or exfoliator then you can wash the dead skin cells away at the same time. You also want to avoid oil based cosmetic products. They can make a bad situation worse. Similarly, you must be careful with any lotions or moisturizers. They too may add to the problems associated with oily skin.Acne treatment for oily skin is not a simple matter. You need to find the right method to remove enough of the oil in your skin without over drying the area. Too much oil can block pores and worsen acne, but not enough can create problems of its own. Finding the right balance will help you to enjoy clear skin, even if it is somewhat oily.

Sunscreen for Men With Oily Skin

Article by Ramy Khuffash

Summer is pretty much over here in the UK, It is always a good idea to use sunblock to protect your skin from harmful rays. The problem with sun blocker is that it feels unpleasant on the skin, particularly oily skin. I can’t imagine that anyone who is trying to reduce the oiliness of their skin would not have noticed this before.

I remember from when I was younger, that the feel of the greasy and heavy sunblock was quite awful on my skin. Little did I know, there are some fantastic alternatives to the common, creamy style sunscreen in existence that work far better on the oily skin type, there are some gel style and some really light sunblocks. You can find these types of sunblocks in various forms (quite a few good sunblocks are sold as a sport sunblock) and I will go on to describe them below.

What you need to do, is search for the same type of labeling that you look for on a great moisturizer. Labels like “oil free” or “non-greasy” is what you should be looking for.

Generally, most of these sunblocks come in the form of a aerosol, and some of them are marketed as “sport” sunblocks. It doesn’t make a difference if you are doing a sport or not, these sunblocks are much lighter on the skin, some of them last longer and they are just as effective as other sunblocks. Not all the good ones are in aerosol cans, you can find some decent sunblocks in spray form and the normal bottle form.

Here are a few examples of the sort of thing you should be searching for if you would like to dump the creamy sunblocks and still guard your skin from the harmful rays:

Bull From Surfer Gel Sunblock only costs about which is a really reasonable price. It does contain a few undesirable components for example, alcohol however it feels a lot better on the skin than the majority of sunblocks and it does a great job.

PreSun Ultra Gel 30 costs a tad more than what you could get at about -15. This has excellent reviews from men with oily skin and is definitely worth a try.

There are quite a few sunblocks out there that are so much better than the common sunblocks. You just need to search and find one that is good for you. Don’t settle with the awful greasy stuff.

Skin Care Makeup For Healthy Skin

Article by Gregory Fennel

Skin health is of primary importance when you choose skin care makeup products. Poor-quality makeup ruins and ages it. Smartly chosen makeup and beauty products, on the other hand, highlight the natural charms of the user’s face and nourish, protect, and beautify the skin.

When choosing skin care makeup products, be careful to select only the best. Don’t use makeup that ruins it. Some cosmetics block pores. These minute pores normally rid the skin off toxins. When they are blocked, the toxins remain, leading to outbreaks of acne and boils. Therefore, proper selection of skincare makeup products is of prime importance.

To prevent acne, use water-based makeup products. These skin care makeup products are specially formulated for oily, acne-prone skin. They do not clog pores and allow to breathe even when the makeup remains on the skin for hours.

If you are using powder foundation, blush, eye shadow, and other forms of powder makeup, ensure that the powder particles are very fine. Finer particles make the foundation long lasting and do not block pores.

A skin routine is necessary, particularly if you need to put on makeup regularly for long hours. No matter how good the quality of the product, the skin needs to be cleaned and cared for on a daily basis to prevent acne and other problems. If you have oily skin, you need to wash your face regularly with a gentle soap and use an astringent to prevent excess greasiness. Remove dead cells, dirt, and sebum daily by using an exfoliating face wash.

Wash your face every night, and take off the makeup at the end of the day. Leaving it on overnight, even if it is high-quality makeup, is a bad idea. The skin needs to breathe, which is not possible if the makeup is never removed.

We have been discussing skin care makeup for oily skin. This does not mean that people with dry to normal skin do not have to worry about the dangers of unsuitable beauty products and routines. A lot of people who think they have oil-free skin may actually have a partly oily skin type, where certain parts of the face have more sebaceous glands than other parts. Also, dry skin may become further dehydrated by the use of strong chemical based products, such as bleach. Before buying makeup and skin care products, it is recommended that you learn all you can about the right products for your skin type.
