The skin still needs some natural oils on it, in order to be protected. If the skin becomes too dry then the glands will just produce even more oils, so the skin end up being even greasier than it already is.

Some of the cleansers and toners that are available for oily skin help to keep the pores free from the build up of dirt and grime, so allowing the pores to breathe. Always make sure that you selecting products that are free from any detergents or other harsh ingredients as this will lead to problems in the long term.

Oily skin care does not need to be difficult but it is important that a routine is put into place and this is performed on a daily basis. You need to make sure that you wash your face no more than twice a day; products applied to the skin should be free from oil; avoid junk food; drink clean pure water; take vitamins and make sure that your diet is full of vitamins and minerals.

As mentioned you need to enforce this routine and the result will soon begin to show but it is important that you do not deviate from this plan and when using natural based products you should not mix these with other products that contain chemicals.

Prevention is better cure especially if you want to avoid an outbreak of spots or acne, so if you are sill finding that your skin is oily during the day, simply blot any excess oils with a tissue and this will prevent the skin from looking dull and also prevent the skin from attracting dirt.
