so for somewhat oily facial skin, some white heads & pimples, and some visible big pores on the nose. What product/cleanser should I use? I heard Cetaphil (sp?) is very gentle and good. A lot of the time,the reason for acne explosions are puberty/lack of exercise.If you have a really oily skin and new zits are constantly popping up,my remedy is to not buy any acne products;because as good and as potent as they are,they ALWAYS have side-effects.I used Proactive once and all it did was make my skin around my ENTIRE face shed.If I were you I would exercise constantly and the acne should go away on it’s own.

I have very fair skin and I’d like to keep it that way. I have been using Lubriderm lotion with SPF in it. It’s getting warmer and sunnier out and I burn like crazy…so I need to get sunblock too. Using the lotion does keep me from getting burned, but its so heavy and greasy on my skin. And plus if I start to sweat it all seems to run off or make my skin feel oily. Is the spray sunblock less greasy than the lotion?

I’ve seen several kinds that say that they’re fast-drying…Does that mean they won’t get sticky?

I need to use it not just for the beach (I rarely go to the beach), but just for everyday stuff, being outside, running errands, doctor’s appointments, being in the car for long periods of time…

Can oily proned skin skip sunblock?

I know that everybody no matter what ethnicity can wear sunblock, but I have oily skin, and even oil-free matte sunblock still makes my face shiny. I know its a healthy thing to protect the skin from the sun by what we eat and how we care for our skin. I’m really thinking about quitting sun screen/block. Along with the heat, I feel like its helping me produce more oil on my skin. Its really getting on my nerves!

Try not to tan too much unless you have too! I believe the higher the number on the bottle that you plan to buy indicates the level of protection (like Copper Tone 20 as an imaginary example). Don’t forget the odd UVC ray that sometimes gets through too (the atmosphere protects us from most of these but some of them can slip through too). Also remember that there is a strong correlation between skin cancer and tanning to and too much tanning may give you wrinkles at a younger age than you may desire. I have done some tanning in my past and have also had some very bad sun burns too without any kind of sunblock whatsoever! I’m also interested in science involving the UV spectrum physics and that’s where my knowledge comes from in regards to UV radiation.
