    The first time I used it there was a lot of hair on my hands. I was a little concerned, but by the third day there was none and my hair never looked like I lost hair. I used no conditioner when I started using it. I shampooed twice each day leaving for the 2-3 minutes as recommended before rinsing. In the shower my hair felt odd; not soft at all, like there was friction if I tried to rub my scalp with my palm, but don’t let this scare you, because after my hair dries it is very soft. After a few days my hair returned to the very fine state I remembered from long ago. It successfully removed the buildup from the previous products I’ve tried (I believe this is why it seems like you lose hair when you first use it, loosening the hair you naturally shed that’s held in by buildup). I added a conditioner to add volume and now have nice soft hair.

    The product is a little on the pricey side, but you only need a small amount at a time, so not really an issue.

    And almost forgot the most important part and the reason I got it in the first place: I had tons of flakes last year or so, always assumed it was just dandruff so I tried tons of dandruff shampoos/conditioners. The only one that even remotely helped was coal tar shampoo, but flakes returned about 8 hours after using it and even has a warning to only use for a short time because it contains known carcinogens. The Hydrate shampoo got rid of my flakes from day one. Apparently my ‘dandruff’ was just combination dry scalp and sensitive skin and this stuff just worked. Finally dark shirts back in rotation!

    I’ve only been using this product for about a week, and I can already tell the difference in my hair and scalp. I normally get a dry, itchy scalp during the winter, and my fine hair is pretty prone to frizz. This shampoo took care of my dry scalp and, when used with a conditioner, helped give my hair a silkier texture. Another plus: the shampoo has a clean, minty smell to it. Love this product!
