  1. Try Acne Free 24/7 Foaming Cleanser – great stuff! And you might want to exfoliate also, (before using the 24/7 cleanser) St Ives Apricot scrub is good for that. I don’t know if you’re opposed to using a cosmetic item – some men are! But if not, you could really benefit from a product called “Mattify!”. It’s a completely translucent Kaolin Clay powder that soaks up oil for hours, and is intended for either men or women. I have incredibly oily skin and this stuff works wonders. So far I’ve only found it on Ebay, you might want to ask the seller if you can use the “buy it now” option so you have it in time for your trip. Hope this helps!

  2. After washing with Dove “sensitive skin” soap, I’ve been using Vaseline at night on my forehead, which is the oiliest place of my face. It began with using it under my eyes to ward off wrinkles from pulling the skin for putting in contacts every day, and I thought “what the hell–let’s try it.” Since doing that, my skin doesn’t seem to be producing oil at the same rate it used to. It used to be that it would become unbearably shiny and uncomfortable within an hour of washing, but now it lasts quite a while before I feel the need to use an oil blotting cloth. The best part? It’s incredibly cheap! I went from needing foundation, lotion, AND powder to control the oil to only needing a few dabs of concealer and a layer of powder. Just smear on a thin layer before going to bed and wash it off in the morning.
