Q&A: Can a dermatologist remove the oils found in oily skin forever?

Question by Imagine.: Can a dermatologist remove the oils found in oily skin forever?
I have oily skin and I’m tired of buying so many products for it.
Is there any way a dermatologist can remove the oils that make
my face shiny and oily forever? If so what is the procedure called?
How much does it cost?

If they did this your face would dry up and crumble to dust. This is not possible.

  1. No, they can’t.

That would require a procedure that entitely alters your body and hormones. Not possible.

You have too much of the oils that your skin needs to keep moist and healthy. Just keep using the oil removing wipes and consult a dermatologist for natural ways to reduce the problem.

  2. No, that is impossible.
Try an acne medication, or take hormone pills designed especially to slow the production of oil in your body.

  3. your glands produce oil so your skin doesn’t dry out. I don’t think there is any procedure they can do to remove oil, or your skin would seriously dry out. But they can give you medicine you take orally for like acne and stuff that could probably help you.
