Question by mcD: I have always had super oily skin. What products should I use to prevent shine througout the day?
I’m a teenage girl, and I usually need to blot my face two to three times a day depending on the weather. I use Cetaphil wash in the morning and at night, and wash my t-zone with witch hazel a couple times a day. I’m prone to acne breakouts, and have sensitive skin. I really, really need a good solution before school starts. Thanks!!

Get the Valley Girl mineral makeup formula from L.A. Minerals, and get their Oil Control Powder to put over it. I use it and it’s great! It cleared up my skin, and really helps soak up the oil. They have samples for like $ 2 on their website.

I am also a teenager and have the same problem. Not only the oily nose but the entire t-zone. I tried to cover it up with powder but by the end of the day it was oily again. I hated it. So I moisturized less and the t-zone was gone but the rest of my face was so tried out my skin almost peeled off (at the dry parts).
I didn’t know what to do but there is a solution and it took me a while to figure that out. I moisturized everywhere my skin was dry and dried my skin everywhere it was oily (meaning that I can’t put the product on my whole face just the areas needed). And it turned out perfect balanced. Sometimes I forgot I have the oily t-zone and don’t take care of it directly, so it turns back up.
But the main thing is that you have to listen to your skin. If one part of your skin asks for moisture give it moisture. If another parts needs something to dry it off, dry it off. Because eventhough the skin on your face is “one” skin every part has a different need. And balancing those needs is the key.
