How to control stubborn acne?

Question by Lynn: How to control stubborn acne?
These big, red, swollen bumps have been on my cheeks almost a month. I have oily/sensitive skin with blackheads and clogged pores all over face. I have been using only aloe-vera based products this past year because it promised clear skin but it not working. I need acne products that work. preferably some sort of kit that I can buy at drugstores. not clean & clear advantage because that really irritates my skin.

  1. I use Benzaclin or something like that. Talk to your doctor and you can get it in cream. It works really well… I swear by it!!!!!

  2. I have been trying to figure this out for years. I asked about using proactive, but people say it dries their skin out. I guess the best thing to do is just to wash face everyday. Use something that has benzoyl in it like Benzimyacin cream is something I used. I also used to be on tetracyclin and menincylen (spelling is wrong i know), but it did some good it helped clear my skin from the inside.

  4. ok, darling! Those big companies want you to think that you need to buy their expensive products, even more expensive because you have to buy the WHOLE line of a certain product, but the truth is that all that crap is just irritating your face and making it worse. If you haven’t seen a dermatologist, it might be time, but before you go through all that…

Keep tally for a good week of everything you’re eating, how many times you touch your face, and how much water you’re drinking.

Eating oveprocessed food (which might be touching your face when you eat it or after you touch the food you could be touching your face with all the grease and chemicals from the food) wreaks HAVOC on our faces and skin condition. Try eating healthier, more raw foods, organic fruits and veggies (or at least washing regular ones very well) and steaming them instead of frying, etc. Don’t smother them in butter, either, use low fat low calorie dressings, keep away from products containing white flour, etc. Nutrition that you put INTO your body really reflects on your outward appearance! I may be off base and you may a health nut already, in that case I’d say (and probably a good idea anyway) drink lots more water and really make an effort to never touch your face. Just use a gentle bar soap once in the shower in the morning and once at night, after each washing put very light moisturizer on your face, I use Suave’s skin firming lotion and my skin is not probkematic, unless it’s before my period and my hormones are nutty. I hope this has helped you darling.

Really, I can’t stress enough how much the things we put into our bodies really show on the outside!

if you change eating habits and drink more water, you will GLOW! and be patient, too, the change won’t happen overnight, but give it a week or two and there will be a significant difference!
