Great Resource for Cheaper, Greener, and More Effective Acne Treatments,
Adult acne and oily skin have plagued my face, neck, and back for several years now. I’ve tried many different commercial options to no avail. Benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and retinols have done nothing but irritate my face and either slightly help my acne or make it much, much worse. Desperate, I searched the web for alternatives and was ultimately led to Leslie’s website, Crunchy Betty ([…]). Finally, I found skin care techniques that actually worked and came with step by step, clear instructions. I was introduced to ideas about washing my face with oils, honey, and baking soda; all of which cleared up my acne and smoothed my skin.
All of Crunchy Betty’s wonderful advice from her website and so much more is presented in this great eBook. Chapter after chapter offers all-natural, cheap, and very effective recipes for cleansers, moisturizers, masks, steams, and treatments for acne and oily skin. I love the tips that fill the book, which offer insight on specific ingredients, spot treatments for pimples, and unique skin uses for common household ingredients. Everything is laid out in a clear and simply way, with plenty of directions and tips to make things clear–nothing is confusing! This book has something for everyone, from seasoned crunchy guys and gals to skeptical newbies who are reluctant to give up their commercial face washes. If you have tried everything else for your oily, broken-out skin, give this book a shot. You might just be surprised at how a few natural remedies can fix it right up!

Love it!,
I’m a teenager, and have battled acne for about 5 years now. I’ve tried so many chemical-induced, medicated, expensive store-bought treatments, and nothing has seemed to truly work. I’ve even tried dieting specifically, and using Proactive. Still, no positive results. Thanks to Crunchy Betty though, I have switched to smearing food all over my face, and my skin is truly starting to clear up! Not only is it softer, it doesn’t hurt, it’s beginning to glow, and I haven’t spent a dime on face products in months! I love experimenting with honey, turmeric, and fruit face washes/masks. You MUST remember though: Everyone’s skin is different. Just because raw honey and turmeric work amazingly for me, you might have to mix something else (or something less) in there. Also, it takes about two weeks for true results. I started with simple honey, and realized it softened my skin, but didn’t clear up acne too much, so I added in turmeric, ect. It’s been about two months since I began using food, and I plan on never going back to store-bought, bottled nastiness. I look forward to clearer skin I’m sure is coming. Whenever anyone asks me what I’m doing, mixing up honey and anything I can find in the spice cabinet, I just reply with “I’m being crunchy!”
THANK-YOU CRUNCHY BETTY! 🙂

Safe, Effective and…Yummeh!,
This book is an amazing resource for anyone dealing with oily/trouble skin. It has over 35 recipes plus an ingredient switch-out chart which offers almost limitless possibilities for potions, scrubs, toners, cleansers, moisturizers and masks…all from the goodies you already have in your pantry. I was skeptical, until I tried a few of the recipes and fell in love with how fun, easy and awesome these products are. Leslie’s humor and matter-of-fact writing style make the book a great read. Highly recommended!
