  1. I’m glad you put this up! I have pretty fair skin and I’m always worrying about my sunscreen. Actually, for some reason I usually don’t burn when I forget to wear it…I’m not sure why.
But I still want to keep my skin fair because I love it, and of course I’ll love all the added benefits!
And I’m always chasing my boyfriend around with sunscreen because he gets burnt so easily, and his grandmother had skin cancer.

  2. @yahoopl3 That was mean..maybe she’s an English language learner…with that comment you don’t seem so bright yourself..poor thing.

  3. @ComeToMyCupcakeParty Hi ! You need to stop worrying so much about the way you look and stay indoors. That way you can open up a book and start reading more because you seem to have the literacy level of a 5 year old. Bye bye !

  4. Well I’ve been putting on my sunscreen wrong XD Over my moisturizer that is, when I’m pretty sure it’s a chemical one.

    Ehhhh whoops.

  5. i just researched about this sunscreen issue and i was so surprised how uneducated people are about the hazards of sunscreen. its sad and i hope more people realize what they are really applying to their skin! =/ the sunblock i use and that i found that is for the most part a non toxic product is the Badger SPF 30 sunscreen for face & body. fairly cheap and good sun protection and best of all none of the harmful ingredents are added.. anyway great video!! very informative!

  6. what about being tan? D:
im 17, i look best tan! but i dont want cancer 🙁
what an unfair contradiction. i cant afford spray tan and faux tan lotions look streaky. i tan cause i look good tan but i dnt leathery skin when i get older 🙁 this sux.

  7. @dorkabrain Yes, broad spectrum means UVA and UVB. This sunscreen is a chemical one, that’s why it does not have the physical blockers you mentioned. I would stay away from Neutrogena’s Ultra-Dry Touch line though, because it contains carcinogenic ingredients, and while it may prevent that dreaded white cast of the physical sunscreens, it’s just not good for your skin. It contains toxic substances that pose health concerns.

  8. @Fuckmylifexx I think you may mean LIBRARIAN, as in a professional who holds an MSIS or MLS and works in a library. As opposed to Liberian- a person from the Republic of Liberia. LOL good try tho 🙂

  9. I have such “Sensative Skin” that I can’t wear just any “SUNSCREENS” the only one I can wear is Neutrogena’s Sensative Sunscreen the lowest SPF 30. My skin will irritate so quickly that I will turn red right away. Your information on Sunscreens was well informed really enjoyed it learning more about it. I have family who passed away cause of Cancer. =< Not good!

  10. I have super dry skin and it becomes flakey after I’m done using neutrogena spf 100, whats a good, greasy sunblock for dry skin?

  11. @PumpkinRouge I’ve been doing research on vegan sunblock for the past hour and from what I’ve gathered, almost all of them only contain either Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide, and never the two together. The often have one chemical sunblock as the secondary active ingredient. And I’m all, “wtf?”

    So yeah, any thoughts?

(also, sorry about the wacky way of commenting out of order. Damn character limits.)

  12. @PumpkinRouge I know that you try and use cruelty free products, which is very helpful for me, because I am a vegan. I’m curious from the products you’ve tried, is there both a physical and a chemical sunblock that’d you’d recommend, that are also cruelty free, and possibly vegan? Also is it necessary for a physical sunblock to have both Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide? Or is it still beneficial to have just one of them?

  13. I have to say thank you because this video defiantly inspired me to really invest further into sun protectors. But I have a few questions, and I hope that maybe you could help with them.

  14. I truly appreciate this video. Especially coming from someone who has OILY skin!
Thanks a bunch and I really enjoy your videos 🙂
From one makeup lover to another, this really was informative Cora!!

  15. Thank you so much cora!!

I’m from australia and I am super conscious of sun-skin-care. My foundation has an SPF of 15 and so does my moisturiser and that’s only in winter.

It quite fashionable to be tanned here, so in summer all the girls are down at the beach laying in the sun for hours at a time and I can’t seem to understand how they don’t know how thin the ozone layer is above us!

I’m so glad that you are bringing sun-skin-care awareness 🙂

I just wanted to say thanks a lot 😀 😀
